Hamburg has often played host to a number of high-level beach volleyball competitions, and I am confident that audiences worldwide will be captivated by another fantastic competition in one of Europe’s most vibrant cities”.

Senator of the Ministry of the Interior and Sports for Hamburg, Andy Grote explained; "The Elite 16 Beach Volleyball Tournament in Hamburg in August will be the big after-show party after the Olympic Games in Paris and thus an exciting reunion with the international beach volleyball elite. After the Olympics, there may still be one or two scores to settle. This promises thrilling games and a terrific atmosphere at Rothen-Beach."
