FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° applauds Olympic Games Paris 2024 beach volleyball venue as the most iconic yet, following a visit to the temporary venue nestled under the iconic Eiffel Tower.


The FIVB delegation, guided by officials from the Paris 2024, had the opportunity to tour the venue site where the Eiffel Tower Stadium is rapidly taking shape. They were treated to a breathtaking view, with the Eiffel Tower towering majestically overhead. A backdrop of sunshine and blue skies also provided a taste of the vibrant beach volleyball festival in store for the world during the Olympic Games.


President Dr Ary Graça was joined by the French Volleyball Federation (FFvolley) President Eric Tanguy, alongside a delegation from the FIVB which included General Director Fabio Azevedo and Head of Beach Volleyball Yu Cao.


The FIVB delegation was shown the venue by Paris 2024 officials. Standing atop the structure, shadowed by the towering, beautiful, stunning Eiffel Tower. Fortunately for the delegation, the sun was shining over Paris and blue skies, providing a taste of the beach volleyball festival in store for the world in just over 2 months when world’s best battle it out on the sand in Paris.


FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° commented:


“This stunning, iconic venue left me speechless, which does not happen very often! The progress is impressive, and I extend my heartfelt thanks and congratulations to the Paris team for their exceptional work. It is incredible to see how much beach volleyball has evolved since its Olympic debut in 1996. We have so much in store for fans during the Games, and we cannot wait to join everyone in Paris, under the sunshine and the Eiffel Tower.”
