The North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) and the Mikasa Corporation announced a historic long-term partnership during a special ceremony at the company’s headquarters in Hiroshima, Japan, with Mikasa's volleyball and beach volleyball becoming the official match balls for all games organised by NORCECA until 2030.

The Continental Confederation and one of Japan’s leading manufacturers with over 100 years of history will also work together to ensure the development and success of volleyball and beach volleyball in the region.

“Mikasa is a long-term and loyal partner for the FIVB, and we are pleased to establish this historic partnership with them,” said NORCECA President Cristobal Marte Hoffiz. “Mikasa has supplied equipment for the FIVB since volleyball first appeared on the Olympic programme, back in 1964. We are delighted to welcome Mikasa to NORCECA’s family, meaning that it will be the official ball and volleyball equipment provider for volleyball and beach volleyball events until 2030.”

“Mikasa shares our commitment to raising the profile of volleyball and beach volleyball in America at the elite standard and at the same time ensuring the development of our sport at the grassroots level with a primary focus on those countries where there is still much room for improvement. We will work hard together to ensure growth and success for our sport,” the NORCECA President added.

Mikasa President and CEO Yuji Saeki said:

“Mikasa is greatly honoured to establish this very important partnership with NORCECA and support the development of volleyball and beach volleyball in North and Central America and the Caribbean in the long term. We are happy to contribute to the opportunity for people of all ages and backgrounds to enjoy volleyball and beach volleyball.”
