Continental Associations host General Assemblies and meetings ahead of FIVB World Congress

FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° yesterday attended the General Assemblies of the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC), in addition to a meeting of the African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB), in Arnhem, the Netherland where he stressed the importance of teamwork among the Volleyball Family to ensure the continued development of the sport globally.


The CEV and AVC General Assemblies and CAVB meeting took place ahead of the FIVB World Congress which gets underway today on 23-25 September. The FIVB President commended the CEV, AVC and CAVB for their commitment to the sport and helping volleyball to grow stronger in Europe, Asia and Africa respectively.

Following the General Assemblies and meeting, FIVB President Dr Ary S. Graça F° said:


“It was my pleasure to address the European, Asian and African volleyball families ahead of the FIVB World Congress. By sharing our knowledge and experiences with colleagues within and beyond confederations, we can all play a role in helping countries to develop volleyball. This is very important because together, we are truly greater than the sum of our parts.”


Meanwhile, FIVB General Director Fabio Azevedo also attended the aforementioned events and joined the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation (NORCECA) and South American Volleyball Confederation (CSV) meetings in Arnhem ahead of the World Congress.
