Beach volleyball player Tīna Graudiņa recognised among Latvia’s best athletes at 'Three Star Awards'
CEV-FIVB : Infos mer 18 janvier 2023Beach volleyball player Tīna Graudiņa was recently recognised as one of Latvia’s best athletes of 2022 at the ‘Three Star Awards” ceremony.
Organised annually by the Latvian Olympic Committee, the awards ceremony honours the greatest sporting achievements of athletes, coaches and sports organisations in the country over the past year.
Gaudina won the award alongside ice skater Deniss Vasiļjevs. It was the second year in a row that the Latvian beach volleyball star was recognised at the awards ceremony after a successful year on the sand with Anastasia Samoilova.

The pair recorded two Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Elite 16 silver medals in Mexico and France, a 9th place finish at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships Rome 2022, gold at the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) EuroBeachVolley, and bronze in the CEV Beachvolley Nations Cup. Graudina also won the beach volleyball national championship of the Division I US National Collegiate Sports Association (NCAA).
The award winners were determined by a vote, in which the total result consisted of a fan vote (50 per cent), the vote of non-nominated athletes of sports organisations (25 per cent), and the vote of sports journalists (25 per cent).
